What are toxins?
Toxins are poisonous substances taken into / produced by the body
that can cause health problems or chronic disease if allowed to
build up over time in body tissues.
We breathe in, consume & absorb toxic chemicals everyday. We
are exposed to them unnoticed daily.
Examples from the environment: air pollution, contaminated water,
herbicides/pesticides, food additives, medications, chemicals in
fabrics & furnishings, cleaning supplies, beauty care.
Examples from internal sources from our body: Waste products produced
by metabolic processes within the body when carbohydrates, proteins
& fats are broken down, such as unbroken & partially broken
down food.
The body’s detoxification systems (circulatory, digestive,
lymphatic, respiratory, skin & urinary) can become overloaded
& overwhelmed with the constant exposure to toxins. When the
channels of elimination can not keep up with their functions efficiently,
the excess toxins are stored in the fat cells & tissues. The
accumulation of toxins in the body may eventually lead to more serious
chronic health problems, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease,
cancer, autoimmune conditions, hormonal, reproductive, neurological
& digestive issues.
Examples
of toxic symptoms:
Headaches, chronic infections/colds, aching joints/muscles, mood
swings & depression,
skin issues like eczema, skin rashes or cellulite, over/under weight,
chronic low energy,
digestive issues like chronic constipation, diarrhea, halitosis
or bloating,
sensitivity to smells or foods, allergies, congestion & breathing
problems,
problems with mental clarity, concentration or memory.
Toxins
remain stored in the body until removed.
